Thanks, Vera, but 2003 is a requirement, also. The Vendor software
(Misys HomeCare) runs on the same server as SQL 2000, so both must be
upgraded. I am not a big fan of *EVER* upgrading an OS....

When I installed PS 4 I wanted the data store in SQL. Couldn't afford a
new SQL license (2 CPU's), so had to piggy back the existing SQL server....

Rebuilding is the way I want to go. Upgrading SQL2K *and* W2K is too
much to expect to work w/o problems...

OK, I see. No, I wouldn't recommend an OS upgrade either.
I've actually done this some time ago. Choose a 3-step approach:

1. inplace upgrade of SQL2000 to SQL2005 on the old W2K server
You can run this for a week to make sure that all is well.

2. Fresh install of Windows 2003 on new hardware + fresh install
of SQL2005 on this server.

3. Move databases from old SQL server to new SQL server. Note that
you also have to move logins, passwords and permissions.

I'm pretty sure that Citrix also has a KB article with Citrix-
specific steps, but that's at work and I'm at home right now. Will
have a look tomorrow, will post my old checklist here if I can find
