I am planning to upgrade ours servers (Citrix MFXP FR3.0) to Citrix PS
4.5 (new install) and I am wondering few questions regarding the
process. I would like to be sure that I will make best choice, therefore
I would be pleased if you could advise me and share your experience,
thank you.

Our current network is composed of :

- 2000 Servers : AD, File server, Print server (HP, Ibm, Lexmark) with
PCL6 drivers

- Citrix Servers : DataStore (MFXP FR3.0) and 3 x Applications Server
(MFXP FR3.0)

- Main applications : Office 2000, Java Application (JRE 1.3.1), AS400
Client, Third party Client/Server Applications

- Printers : HP, IBM, Lexmark. All use PCL6 drivers

Each application server is a Dual Xeon 2.4Ghz with 4Gb Ram each.

Users Number : 70

You will find below the questions I am wondering , thanks :

1) Which is the most stable version between PS4.0 and PS4.5 ?
Same question regarding lastest RollupPack to apply between "Hotfix
Rollup Pack 1 (R01)" and Hotfix Rollup Pack 2 (R02) , which one is the
most stable ?

2) I am planning to install those software and would like to know if
you've
encountered any compatibility issues with them :

- Office 2003 Std + SP3
- Java application (JRE 1.3.1)
- Adobe Acrobat Reader 7
- Iseries(AS400) Client Access V5R3
- 7-zip
- PDFCreator
- Xnview

3) Regarding printing, I've read that lots of people had issues with it.
For now, we've been using PCL6 printers drivers from IBM, HP, Lexmark
and everything is working fine with Citrix MFXP 3.0

Regarding PS4.5, do you advise me to upgrade to Universal Printer Driver
or should I stick with PCL drivers ? If so, is it best to choose PCL5 or
PCL6 ?

4) About Internet browser, it will be used for basic web browsing that
will also include flash animation, what would you recommend between IE
7, Firefox, or Opera in order to have smooth browsing and not overload
CPU ?

5) I have a last question regarding Java environment. I've read that JRE
1.5.09 is required for PS4.5.

We currently use a homemade java application that runs well with JRE
1.3.1 but doesn't work well with JRE 1.5

I would like to know if JRE 1.5.09 is required only for the CMC or also
for PS4.5 Server ?

Would it be possible to install JRE 1.3.1 after PS4.5 installation ?
