Post subject: TS sessions logout question

I am running TS server 2003

I am not sure that this is a TS setting; however, my TS session seem to logout after a specified period of time. I am not referring to the TS connection, as it is set to stay connected indefinately (which I believe is the default setting for TS sessions. I am referring to the user having to log back into the TS desktop. I do not have a workstation lock setting on the workstations in my domain, and this isn't locking the station, it is actaul logging the user off (TS connection remains). Do I need to change this setting at the AD level via a GPO or is it s local setting on the TS server?

Actually the TS session is locking out at a specified time and not logging the user out or disconnecting the TS session. I do not have my domain configured to lock users out; however, I am not sure that this convers TS session. The TS session that I am testing with also logs on locally to the domain on a workstation and never gets locked out (due to how my domain configureation). Where is the desktop "lock out" setting for TS sessions configured?

What you describe is the screen saver on the TS, kicking in after 10 minutes and locking the session window.
Disable it in a GPO linked to the OU which contains the Terminal Server.

User Configuration - Administrative templates - Control Panel - Display
"Screen saver"
"Screen saver executable name"
"Screen saver timeout"

And since this is a user setting, you also need to use loopback processing of the GPO:

Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - System - Group Policy
"User Group Policy loopback processing mode" - "Replace"
