Archived from groups: alt>os>citrix (more info?)

Hello, we are operating a new Citrix farm using Presentation Server
4.5 with XenApp. We're trying to make it single sign-on using pass-
through authentication. Users are logging into their PCs with the same
credentials they will use for the terminal servers. We currently have
the pass-through authentication enabled within the application set
settings in the program neighborhood on each user's PC. After being
set up this way the pass-through authentication seems to work for a
short time, and then credentials will be required again.

For example, after an hour or so it may ask for domain credentials
before launching a published app. If I were to go back into the user's
application set settings, disable and re-enable pass-through
authentication, and then launch again, it would no longer ask for
domain credentials...for a short time. I'm not sure if this indicates
that something has been set up wrong or if some security settings need
to be changed elsewhere.

If anyone has any ideas or experience with this problem I'd greatly
appreciate it. Thanks!

What version of the client are you using. I would suggest making sure it
is the latest one (11.0, I think).

Sorry I forgot to include that in my original post. We are using
version 11. I also found a post on the Citrix forum where it seems
like a lot of others were having the same issue after upgrading to 11.
It can be found at: http://forums.citrix.com/thread.jspa?threadID=234957&start=0&tstart=0

The last post is one user's workaround, but it doesn't seem like an
actual solution was reached.

IIRC, I've also seen this. I found that what works for me is to install
V10 and then upgrade to V11. I have no problems any more...
