Post subject: Blacked out Login for 2k3 std terminal server

When using rdp to connect to our 2k3 std terminal server, the username, password and domain fields are blacked out.

Our users can log in, but they have to guess where the fields are. Has anyone encountered this problem and found a solution?

Thank you in advance for any help that can be provided

Someone figured it out at work.
Here it is:
It seems that when the computer runs out of space, it causes the default user color settings to write out at all 0’s. This causes normal system colors to appear as black until the user properly logs into their profile.

I took the default color settings from another 2003 server and applied them to the Terminal Server and it corrected the problem.

For technical reference, the registry key was HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Colors
