The Association of the Building in The Place de la Concorde

The Place de la Concorde is one of the major public squares in Paris , France . In fact, in terms of area is the largest square in the French capital.

At the north end, two magnificent identical stone buildings were constructed. Separated by the rue Royale , these structures remain among the best examples of Louis XV style architecture. Initially, the eastern building served as the French Naval Ministry . Shortly after its construction, the western building became the opulent home of the Duc d'Aumont. It was later purchased by the Comte de Crillon, whose family resided there until 1907. The famous luxury hotel which currently occupies the building took its name from its previous owners. The Hotel de Crillon served as the headquarters of the occupying German army during World War II .

When being more carefully, you can see there are so many scratches on the building. Maybe they are left by the war, maybe by the tourists. But I think that is the time. On the top corner of the building, there is a spy mini camera hidden in the wall. Maybe nobody knows who installed it. But I believe everyone knows that is the legacy of the history.

My mind is wondering when I am staring at it. The spy mini camera is installed by one of the Germany soldiers who wanted to make a big contribution to his country, but he didn’t have a receptor that he was just unable to do anything with it. As times passing by, the French want to leave it there to remind people of this full filling with dangers’ history. That is why it stays there.

But the spy mini camera is so lucky, because he stayed there without doing anything, but he can witness the important history passing by just under his eyes.

Although the surrounding environment is changing all the time, his eyes never changed. With the lovers walking to and fro in the Champs-Élysées , he must feel so happy.
