Post subject: Can NOT launch app - terminal services message
Archived from groups: alt>os>citrix (more info?)

On certain computers when I try to launch my application from the my
Citrix site (either inside or outside network) I get these messages,
then the launch fails (while other computers with the same client
version work fine):

Closing the Citrix ICA client window will disconnect you from the
Citrix Presentation Server.

Are you sure you want to close and disconnect?
---------------------------
OK Cancel
---------------------------

If I choose OK the session ends, if I choose CANCEL I get this
message:

ERROR
---------------------------
The remote session was disconnected because there are no Terminal
Server License Servers available to provide a license.
Please contact the server administrator.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

This issue just popped up in the last couple weeks and we haven't made
any changes. The computers have had the temporary internet files
deleted, Citrix Version 10.200 Web Client was uninstalled and
reinstalled, and they have all the Windows updates.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Deleting the keys on the CLIENT in the registry worked. The keys I
deleted were in:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSLicensing\Store\

You do understand that you are violating the licensing agreement? Your
problem is that you are out of TS licenses. You are supposed to get more.

What you are doing is deleting the temporary license information and
getting another (illegal) temporary license.

but some times the the initial used temporary Licenses are not replaced with
the correct installed licenses.
This is an running Workaround for this problem.

Absolutely. It's a well known technique for resolving specific problems.
My point was that the OP was using it to violate licensing requirements
and, in effect, pirate licenses from MS.
