Good morning/afternoon folks.

My sincere apologies in advance if this is out-of-place.

We are switching from Neoware Thin Clients running Windows CE.net to Thin Clients from the same company running Windows XP Embedded. I am trying to duplicate the seamless connection process that our units currently enjoy, whereby the device starts up, gains domain services, then goes straight to our Citrix farm for a desktop. When I fire the XPe devices they go to an XP desktop. I am flying blind at this point, although I am considering something in Startup if I cannot stay away from the XPe desktop altogether.

Any help, from resource URLs to direct instruction, would be greatly appreciated. FWIW I am getting in touch with Neoware asap but wanted to tap into all known good resources right away. Thanks folks.

Have you considered making the terminals domain members and populating the desktop with applications via Program Neighborhood Agent when the end user logs onto the terminal with domain credentials?

Hello Patrick.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. Here's what I know (and have gleaned from our Admins) so far:

The devices currently log on to our domain automatically with user credentials that I supply. The Citrix admin creates those accounts in both AD and the Citrix farm. Once on the domain/farm, the devices receive their apps via Presentation Server. Due to the nature of our users (hospital) having the devices automatically log on, whether it be at startup or after a reset of the Citrix session after a reconfig (of network printing, for example), we wish to keep as much of the process automated as possible.

I have a conference call with the vendor and his SE. I will post here afterwards in case our findings can help someone else. Thanks again!
