Hi - I've got a SonicWALL SSLVPN 2000 appliance configured at a client site,
set up to allow RD access to a W2003 Terminal Services box on the domain.
Haven't deployed it yet as I'm still testing.
I have done the usual lockdown stuff, and have ensured that printer
redirection is enabled on the server & works, but I'm always nervous about
this. There will be a variety of users connecting from a variety of
different clients/networks, and although we'll do our best to issue edicts
about what kinds of printers will be allowed, I know we'll run into some
that simply won't work.
I know there are several printer redirection helper thingies out there
(universal drivers, etc) but it doesn't appear that the ones I've looked at
will work unless we're doing a straight RDP-client-to-server connection, and
not via the SonicWALL SSL VPN box as we'll be doing.
This is a client with minimal on-site tech support, and I'd like to find
something simple I can install on the server & deploy to any remote clients,
that will make their printing more likely to approach "seamless."

Google (thinprint "SSL VPN") without the parenthesis.
ThinPrint has a forum post about how to get ThinPrint to work
through a Web client RDP connection. The only thing is, I do
not know if it is worth it to you.
That is about all I could come up with.
OT - How do you like your SW SSL-VPN 2000? I currently use
one here and think it is a nice product.

I'll try contacting them - it looks like it might be a pain, though. Thanks

I'm quite fond of it overall - really works nicely. I hope they work out
some of the minor inconveniences in later firmware revisions, tho - such as
the ability to sort bookmarks, and control access via AD groups. It's not
perfect, but it's pretty nice!

If anyone's curious / following, I found that using the SonicWALL SSL VPN to
launch NetExtender, allows me to use the RDP client & Tricerat Screwdriver
to effect what I wish. Not as seamless as I'd like, but it does work.
