Post subject: TS newbie question

Do applications that remote users access need to be installed on the same server the is running TS, or should all applications be installed on a seperate non-TS server?

The database application that I have will be accessed by both local and remote users (across a VPN connection).

A Terminal Server should be a dedicated server. So the recommended setup is that you install the frontend application on the TS and point it to the database on a separate SQLserver (or whatever database server you are using).

The application that I am using does not have a seperate database. The application and database are one application.

Then load it on the same server and backup the data files.
