I'm trying to set up external web access to my citrix applications and am running into problems, I'll explain my scenario
I have installed and configured WI on a server connected to my domain but in a remote location connected to use by VPN
the set up is something like:
REMOTE LAN -> WI Server -> Firewall ---> INTERNET -> Firewall -> Citrix Servers <-- LOCAL LAN
The WI server has a public IP but not a private IP, though it can ping the private IPs of the Citrix Servers
now, the Web Interface works fine from machines on the domain and it works fine from machines not on the domain but connected to our LAN via VPN (different subnets, but can communicate with LAN subnet)
the problem is when I try it from a machine totally seperate (i.e. from home) I'm having difficulties
I connect to the WI Server and get the log on screen, first time I get the error "Unable to enumerate your applications", try again and I get the list of published applications for that user, but when I try to connect to any I get the error "There is no Citrix Server configured at this address"
I'm thinking there may be one of two (or maybe even both) issues here
one being the translation from the users public IP--> WI public IP --> private IP of the Citrix servers
or maybe something as simple as opening the ICA Port (1494 TCP) on both of the firewalls (something that has just sprung to mind)
any thoughts on this would be much appreciated
thanks,
Christian
