Post subject: NLB terminal sevrers

We are going to add another terminal server in our office and create an NLB cluster out of the two. The question I have is currently the users save all of their data to their my documents folder. When we go to the pair of servers balanced they may not get the one that has their personal data. What is the proper solution to this? SHould we setup a file server and have the user accounts run a script to map to a drive on it? How about the users desktop? Thanks

The easiest solution is to use a Group Policy to redirect the My Documents and Desktop folder from every TS to a shared folder on a file server.
You can find the folder redirection settings here:

User Configuration - Windows Settings - Folder Redirection
Desktop
My Documents
And since these are User settings, you also need to use loopback processing of the GPO:

Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - System - Group Policy
"User Group Policy loopback processing mode" - "Replace"

Then link the GPO to the OU which contains the Terminal Server machine accounts (not the user accounts!).
